He may have some parasites now. Try to get some of the bugs when you bring him in, it might help! Also try to bring the vet a fresh fecal sample. I can't really say about chewing on these things, though. My Fondue chomps on the couch, or a towel once in a while, but usually only when he's stressed about something. Our igs tear up the plants on a regular basis! Especially Darwin! But good luck with Louie! Let us know!
