When you are left with a choice, then I would say that you ARE involved strongly in the problem.

Importers: Stop importing iguanas
bleeders: Stop bleeding them
Buyers: stop buying them

end result.....I would firmly believe that the percentage of iguana deaths would be down to at least a low of 4 to 5% annually.(est)
We all need to do our part:
Sue and I are both trying to give as much as we can. We are members of NIAD, VA. Rescue group, 2 herp Societies, research on blood labs, and continue to look for anything that we can give either our money or our time to, that has to do with iguanas. This fall I will be planning to hit area schools hard with iguana education, having Lola by my side.
I guess what I am trying to say is.........take a second to look at yourself and think.......what am I doing to solve the problem? What can I be doing? Believe me, there's alot of things we can be doing.....and it all helps. But I would say this.......Importing/Bleeding and buying ARE NOT one of them!!!! We have enough iguanas in this country, let's give them a break!
