Glad to see that you two have declared a truce, hope that others will do the same. I'm reminded of the fallout with Dalmations (dogs), shortly after the movie 101 Dalmations came out. People bought Dals in droves, not realizing that Dals are high strung, very needy dogs and after a few months, shelters were full of Dals needing homes for people that knew the needs of that particular breed. Dals did not come cheap, so that kind of shoots a hole in the disposable pet theory, (even though I agree as far as igs go!) Sigh! We cannot prevent people who are clueless from buying pets, the best we can do is educate, and try to minimize the damage. I wish that things were different, but they are not!
