No need to apologize Skinny, most of the regs here know how passionate you feel about iguana rescue. To Kev...let me just note communication skills is not one of your strong points...instead of coming to this forum and making blatant anger provoking statements, your position would of been ALOT clearer and less offensive had you explained it...such as the earlier post about importation & your thoughts about how to correct some problems...like the ideas about going to local pet shops & helping them save igs thru education,& your thoughts about captive bred igs in the US. I think those suggestions are terrific...but that alone will NOT stop the million plus iglets imported into this country each year...not even close to making a very small dent in ending it.. Legislation is what is required to stop it/limit it straight out.Instead of us going after ZooMed or Pet shops...perhaps our first stop should be contacting our representatives in Congress. We can start petitions in conjunction with NIAD. Your opinions ARE most welcome here, but the personal attacks and put downs are NOT. I apologize to you for any mean-spirited post I made to you. You are certainly most welcome here. You have alot of first hand information to share...I believe we all can benefit from that. Can't we work together to get some kind of resolve on this ever-growing atrocity from happening in our country?
Personally I like the exchange thats going on(aside from the bashing), I for one don't follow most popular opinion on some aspects of iguana care either...that doesn't make me or you wrong or any less welcome at this forum but mutual respect for anothers opinion is a requirement if "valuable" space here at the iguana forum is utilized...Can we keep it more informative and less personalized/condemning please?
Re: bearded dragons...the way I understand it...bearded dragons are the next giant green iguanas. May take a while but its coming to that.If you don't support rescue...don't breed.
