Punk Update

Punk is doing better.. he's still eating everything in sight and has STOPPED whacking me with his tail. He is filling out nicely in his belly. It's a little early for him to fill out elsewhere, I think.

I knew he was dehydrated, but last night he did something I've never seen an iguana do. Several times daily, I mist the iggys to keep the air humid. He crawled as close to me as he could get in his cage and start lapping at water drops on the wire. I lightly spryed the tip of his nose, and he went wild trying to get as much water in him as he could. After several minutes of that with no end in sight, I drew him a nice, warm bath. I set him down in the water and he started drinking. Didn't stop for a full minute and a half to two minutes.

I suppose all of these are good signs that he is well on his way to recovery. I can't wait to get some photos posted for y'all!! He is the most beautiful turquoise blue all over. I've got several shots of him now and will take several after he plumps up. The effect should be dramatic.
