well, i just aggreed to take in 2 turtles, one a box turtle with a severe calcium deficiency and an abscessed eye. the guy who hhad the turtles is a teenager ( like me) who has gotten into drugs and doesn`t take care of his animals anymore. he has had about 20 iguanas with nearly all of them dying. i am so angry at him. but i want to help out these turtles and give them a chance. the other is a red eared slider. he says it has no health problems, but i ahve yet to see if that is the truth. he is bringing them over tomorrow along with all of thier equipment. he has not kept a heat light nor a uvb flourescent over either aquarium, so i`m expecting the worst. i know it ahs nothing to do with iguanas, but i just thoughtyou would all understand. also, if anyone has any experience with turtles, i`d be glad to hear from you. i ahve never owned a turtle before. well, you can email me or post back in this forum. i`m off to scour the web for turtle info!
