Oops, Lysol, Substrate & Purchasing igs

Mentioned the Lysol issue to Jim, he said that because most igs are very clean and pick a spot that they will poop in (he actually said defecate) the subtrate should be newpaper with paper towel taped to them. He said that the way that they poop (defecate) is when there finished they actually bring their bottom down and kind of wipe. Then they would be wiping on the paper towel which could be easily removed and replaced. This is where the disinfectant comes in. Using this method disinfectant isn't necessary that often. When it is necessary use diluted bleach in water. Just as everyone had posted. Yeah, Iguanamomma & BabyHerp.

He also told everyone, if they hadn't gotten an ig yet to do one of two things...1) look into adoption of unwanted igs...2) if it was peoples first ig and they wanted a baby to raise, find a person who was captive breeding them. They would be healthier and have had more human contact making them easier to train.
