Maybe putting some 100% pure Aloe Vera on the spikes for a few days while they are shedding, unless you are already doing so. I put Aloe Vera on Roxys spikes about once a week and hers have grown noticablly and have stopped being cracked and brittle and shredding at the tip. She also sheds the quickly and easily. Maybe it will help you out.
