Theresa....oh boy...Ive never heard of anything "non-chemical" that has been effective to control mites...that didn't create ALOT of work because of re-infestation. Try Melissa Kaplans site...she has alot of non-chemical type treatment for pests...perhaps her site has other ways to deal with them besides the ole olive oil treatments.Tea Tree oil is effective for ALOT of neat things...never read of any one using it for mite infestation. Remember when using any oil product on your igs....to let it sit for a bit then...with *running* tepid water...rinse them off..so mites that are half dead aren't hanging on for their lives! Here's the link to Melissas perhaps the Tick & Lice section has something for you.Also try her iguana care site for more info on the oil treatments... the post that Iguannamomma wrote about is around June 4th...but its mostly about chemicals Ive read about and use so prolly of no interest to you.Here ya go..
