Hi there! Have had experience using Tea Tree Oil shampoo mixed with straight tea tree oil to rid humans (LOL) of headlice last year. (Nice bugs to bring home from school, huh?) I know it didn't harm our iguanas when they were around our heads but I honestly don't know about putting it on them.

I do know you should NOT use CEDAR oil...or cedar in any form around them and definitely not on them. It is toxic..that and pine.

I'm not sure exactly where it is here but there should be a post somewhere down from BabyHerp telling someone in detail how to get rid of mites. I can't remember how chem-free it was but as I understand it mites are really tough to get rid of and you may be stuck with chems to do so. This post would have been in June or May. You might want to hit the search engine here for "mites" and let it find it for you!
