Sorry forgot to answer that one.
That Grand Cayman Blue iguana on the classifieds is *WAY* overpriced, it is a hybrid animal, not even a fully grown adult, and shows very litte blue color.
Now an extremely tame, large fully grown hybrid Blue Iguana that had great blue color would be well worth $2000.00, but that is not the case with the animal in the classifieds.
The pure blue caymans would cost $3500.00 and up, most likely "and up". In my opinion it is cruel
to own a pure blue cayman and not breed it for release into the wild, there are less than 100 left in the wild and they are
seriously in danger of extinction. This is why I have been working so hard to try to raise money to
help the breeding facility on Grand Cayman Island.
Also the pure blue caymans cannot cross state lines without a USDI permit which would be impossible to obtain unless you had extensive
experience with cyclura.
Now I do know someone who will probably get their hands on a pair of pure blue caymans sometime in the future to breed, so if you want this you should wait.
Other wise, get a hybrid from a good bloodline or get a Puerto rican cuban cyclura, both beautiful animals that you will love!
If you have any quesitons about blue caymans or Cayman Brac cyclura, the breeding facility, in the wild, etc email me:
