In Reply to: anza-borrego to mexican rosy? posted by catsngeckos on March 11, 2003 at 00:56:25:
Its been done quite a bit back in the 80's I had sevral of these crosses. They somehow got swallowed up by the hobbie. The animals were nice looking! The problem with the crossed rosys is when I moved to the east coast from calif I brought several breeders with me I discovered the east coast folks at that time did not klnow the difference between a calif desert rosy and a mexican rosy, or AZ rosy. The the animals they were selling on the east coast were all the hybrid animals that inscruplous west coasters were shipping out as "locale" animals to east coasters. The result was the east coast herpers got educated and then they lost inerest in rosys. That was the beginning of the end of the rosy boa market.
:what would you get if breeding a mexican rosy to an anza-borrego?
:Someone asked me after seeing my anza (no I dont think I'm gona try this) what would happen if it were possible.
