Since my male speckled kingsnake has exhibited great interest in becoming a stud (!) I'm thinking about trying to cross him with one of my corn or rat snake females (he's currently trying valiantly to breed my 20 year old Cal king female). What are the basics for attempting this breeding without getting anybody eaten? I've just started cooling everybody down; hadn't been going to cool the kings since the girl is pretty old, but now I've gotten curious about the possibility here. I have corns of all the standard color morphs (snow only in male though); also rat snakes of varying mixtures of yellow, gray, black and everglades. Instructions, anyone? :)
