Ever since the dethroning of Napoleon, they French have pretty much been a joke (no offense to those that are french, personally I have a friend from France). They rarely, if ever, act on their empty threats and do not back anything up. They do not even seem capable of defending themselves and are basically the laughing stock of world military. Well, that is what I have seen from basic world history studies. I am sure it is a more in depth, but I do not much care for French history.
