I don't want to start another flame war about this, but I must disagree. If you read carefully, you will notice that the French gentleman stated clearly that France would not offer assistance to the United States if we do indeed go to war with Iraq. What the Marine said was completely true, and justified in the situation. I do not agree with her use of the word fagget, however, in the situation, it too seemed fitting. She is not calling the guy gay, but merely demonstrating to him that she is neither afraid, or cowed by his own blunt remark.

By the way, I must add that I do not know this female Marine at all. The e-mail was sent to me by a parent of a Marine in my sister's unit, who are about to go overseas for exactly the reason the French officer stated... France is not offering her support, so we have to send more troops.
In light of the current world status, I would have thought you would have enjoyed this little funny e-mail.... Unless of course you are French, in which case, I completely understand your attitude towards the post.
