I agree. While I could never see putting that much down to save a rat.(I complain about a $1 to feed it to something else) I try to remember that these people are no more strange for caring about their rat than I am for loving my scally slithering things. :-) Just because we wouldn't do it does not mean that it is not the right thing to do.
