resently our local herp shop got in a few texas round tail horny toads, they said that they do very well in captivity and don't need to eat ants at all. I was told that they need ants for acid and such things. I would like one as a pet and have plenty of room on the desert side of my herp room, the temps are hight and dry. But if they need ants well then i dont think i can make that comitment and will just forget about it.
