::Phrynosoma modestum, the Roundtail Horned Lizard requires ants in their diet just like all horned lizards require ants. The Roundtail horned lizard is an egg layer and the average clutch is 10 eggs. Stomach content analysis indicates that 86% of their diet is ants. Scat analysis indicates 88% ants in the diet. What ant species should round-tailed horned lizard owners feed them? Also what other food items do you offer? I recall you have some and your expertise would be greatly appreciated.
