::my horned lizard is acting very strange. he is just lying down with his eyes closed and not eating. i live in the mid-west and the humidity is high. i know this is a desert reptile and i was wondering if humidity could hurt him. i have had him since the begining of fall last year and this is his first summer in this type of climate. this is also his first time acting weird and up until now he has been eatig ants and crickets very well. is there any special vitamins he may need.
::Any help would be great. thanks
::Has the HL lost any weight? Are there any signs of parasites? The humidity should not be a big factor if you are keeping temps at about 100 - 105 during the day and down to about 65 - 70 at night. What amount of crickets are being fed as compared to the amount of ants? Lester G. Milroy III

Yes he has lost some weight. we have been feeding him more ants than crickets and he has been eating fine till now. i did notice some very small type bugs just before i cleaned out his aquarium. but i do not see any at this time. also do u think dehighdration is a factor for this, as i have read, u should mist the tank every other day i have just put a small container of water in with him.
thanks alot
