The mountain horned lizards i own (Acanthosaura crucigera) are carnivorous, they eat crickets meal worms and super worms. It's a good idea to dust the crickets with vitamin powder before feeding. It is crucial to their diet. Their main killer is dehydration. Soak them in water occasionally and make sure they get adequate water (they tend to not be interested in standing water). My pair will open thier mouths if they get really thirsty.
Another note: If they arent eating, buy a product called "jump start" it's a caloric supplement/appetite stimulant... It works great, keeps them healthy and they seem to love it once you actually pry their mouths open and give it to them. I started out using a note card to pry their mouths open but now they will take it without too much trouble. Email me with any questions, these guys can be a real pain to take care of but its worth it.
