I am not new to snakes in fact I used to own a california kingsnake. I am however new to hognoses. I knew of someone who had a western hognose. I saw it one day after a full grown live mouse. It was following it threw the hide log. Is there any scientific proof that feeding a hog mice hurts the snake? I have always wanted some hognoses. I know of somewhre I could maybe catch tadpoles/frogs but I dont wanna feed a captive bred animal wild food full of parasites. I do not have any hogs right now. When I had the cali king she was captive bred and she never did try to bite me. to me an iguana bite is much worse than a snake bite.
