It does not make sense to use pinky rats if you are concerned about nutrition. Immature mice/rats are high in fat and low in calcium because their skeleton has not yet ossified. Why not use adult mice that are so easy to come by, instead of pinky rats? Besides, if you have ever looked at discussions on here about feeding hognoses mice, fatty liver disease may be a concern for the long term health of hognoses. I see no point in increasing the risks by feeding something high in fat.
