I have on several occasions scented pinkies with Green Tree Frogs for baby hogs from western Texas where there are no tree frogs (Hyla arenicolor and Heterodon don't overlap in habitat).

So my baby hogs seemed to know that treefrogs smelled "right". Probably any anuran would work.
