the food fish sold in pet stores for hatchling easterns and it worked well enough to get them fat enough to survive brumation.
I put the rosys in a shallow dish with just a little water and let them splash around and the hogs went for them.
I guess that good size guppies would also work. Good luck, let me know if it works for you
