I guess it's true what they say........a picture says a thousand words.
That pretty much sums up all of my questions except maybe one. Did you by chance take a new reading on the gila's body temperature??? It would be interesting to see what the rate of heat loss was from time X(first reading) to time Y(second reading) and the length of time between.
Sorry to be a bother but I am really facinated by wild observations of these animals and since they don't occur in my neck of the woods(or swamp for that matter-LOL)I have to rely on people like you, Kerry, and others that are lucky enough to observe them in the wild to fill in my blanks.
