How to administer Panacur horse paste to ornery skink

(This is a different skink than my last posting) I would like to administer Panacur to a Blue tongued Skink. This is the 25g of 10% paste sold for equine use.

My first question is how to prepare this for oral dosage. I have a set of gram scales and will look up the proper amount per weight. What I'm confused about is, is it typically mixed with anything? Diluted and put in a feeding syringe?

Secondly: This is a VERY big and ornery skink. He hisses and twists madly whenever he is handled. It is not going to be easy to get something down him. Any suggestions on technique would be very welcome.

Thirdly: I could just take him to the vet. He mentioned that a shot could be given of Ivermectin. It is my impression that Ivermectin is not particularly safe. Any thoughts?

Thanks.
