Are there any contradictions to using Penicillin to treat a respritory infection in a Boa Constrictor(BCI). I bought this little fella @ a reptile show in Beaver Valley PA. He was sick then I could see it, and it was my intention to feed him and get him into a proper habitat. He is about 6' and very underweight. I have access to both capsule forms of Penicillin and injectable Pennicilin. This Baytril that Ive read about on this forum is it a broad spectrum antibiotic available only through a vet? Thanks for any advice in advance...I may just try the Penicillin, as it stands right now he's a gonner anyways.
