There are very few zoonotic diseases (transmitted between animals and people) that you could give your snakes. The only exception that I know of that does happen every once in a while regards turtles. Apperently some speices of turtles are suceptible to the human "common cold" Despite the fact that it is extremely unlikely that anything will happen, it is always a good idea to wash your hands before and after handling your reptiles.
