Chondro and disease

One of my friends (not on the Net yet)wants to acquire a couple of Chondros but worries about some kind of anus disease where the anus becomes enlarged and the gut comes out? Says it's specific to Chondropythons. We are in North Queensland but it does' nt make chondros cheaper!! Any comments??
