Separating for feeding

Hi- I just noticed this forum..I have had my gtp's for about 6months. They are both 3-4 years old/captive bred. They use to sit on separate tree's so that I was able to take out one to searate while feeding. However, now they decide they have to sit/hang right next to each other on the immovable perch. How do I separate them? They both have a very strong feeding response so I don't want to just stick my hand in there. Plus they seem to be stuck to their perch like glue? Anyone else have this problem?
