Stunted growth?

Okay, a proper snake's diet for a corn snake and a ball python is once a week. Suppose that was stretched to once every 2 months for an 8 month period. Would that stunt a snakes growth? (No, I'm not planning to ever do this, so don't look at the computer screen that way again).
