Yah I know, but the gerbils are still young when I feed my python. We know we're taking a risk but since I kind of am the only one who wants the snakes, I had to bargain with the rest of my family, and I agreed that I wont kill the gerbils, because no one in my family wants me or them to be responsible for that. AND>>>I have had way to many bad expeiriences wacking mice and gerbils. Once, I wacked a mouse, but I didn't do it hard enough so he was still breathing, so I did it again and he was still alive so I did the pencil behind the neck thing which broke other stuff, but not his neck so finnaly I put him in a bag and smacked him against the wall a couple times, then fed him....I dont want to be resposible for that pain again and I feel more comfortable giving her live. We have had her for 11 years, with no problems....I know its bad, my others ate f/t mice but, now the prices have gone to 3.99 a mouse for a small adult and they dont sell rats anywhere....so Im kind of at a loss....she is always supervised and if there is even a slight problem , like the gerb is a bit to hyper, I take it out. Thanks for your concern...:-)
