I wouldn't use sphagnum moss for the entire enclosure. It traps moisture easily, and can create a nice home for bacteria to thrive in. I use paper towels for mine, and it's the easiest way to go, IMO. Sphagnum moss should really only be used if you are going to make him a humidity hide...

SPHAGNUM MOSS?

:At the moment I'm using a combo of newspaper in 7 cages and "astro turf" in the large cage. I would not change the substrate if I didn't wish to have the cages more presentable. I'd prefer a substrate that the snakes are able to eat in. Any tips or opinions would be great!
