Think this substrate would be ok for my Redtail Boas?

SPHAGNUM MOSS?

At the moment I'm using a combo of newspaper in 7 cages and "astro turf" in the large cage. I would not change the substrate if I didn't wish to have the cages more presentable. I'd prefer a substrate that the snakes are able to eat in. Any tips or opinions would be great!
