Yes, Bipes is an amphisbaenian (ie not a lizard and not a snake ;) where should I post...). It used to be a snake, I guess, until Bipes were included in it.

:Snakes like Typhlops are virtually not found on the pet market, and captive husbandry is also unknown. So the only way you're probably going to get on is to catch it yourself and then figure out how to keep it alive.

And since there are none here in europe, I just have to take a flight to the US or Mexico... and if they die I'll just come back.
I think I will try to get some if me or a friend a mine goes in america - and that won't be easy since I'm not allowed to enter "wild species" in France - but since I'll have only a few, I'd rather know before how to breed them.

Are they often seen in the wild or are they dificult to catch ?

There is also one amphisbaenian in Europe : in a part of Spain and Portugal, but really hard to find, and that's 2000 km from me.
