I dont know how effective it is but you should be able to find some medicine at Petsmart or a local pet store for mouthrot. The stuff I had was called Ridrot. I used it for a few days before my vet visit. I got some of the chunks out but not all of it. Your vet should just be able to give a shot to take care of the problem though. Good luck. EP
