Aspen is a good substrate as far as the saftey and cleanliness but it just doesnt look good w/ some animals. Some animals come from parts of the world where aspen isnt even close to their natural habitat. Like anancondas...they come from swamps, aspen wouldnt be anywhere near their habitat. I would want my snakes to be on a substrate that matches their habitat in the wild at least a little bit. Sand Boas are they same way. Does anyone else feel this way? i just saw a pic of anacondas on aspen and it looks really bad, thats what got me thinking.
