The only thing I can think is that you may have inadvertantly bought the clips a size too big for your snakes enclosure. I have used these for years and have never had a snake escape. I bought these after my honduran escaped, I was using weights on both ends of the screen top, and he still managed to get out. Once I put these on, no more escapes.
I think these are the best thing.

:I have lost 2 snakes due to the fact that the CLIPS that are sold to hold down the screened-lids on tanks have not held and the snakes escaped. Does anyone know of a better way to secure the lids on aquarium tanks?
