Im glad to hear opinions on this - I understand what people are saying, and did agree with bill on letting others handle my animals - I will contune to do producions with her untaped, but will no longer let anyone hold her untaped -
I dont let people handle my Millifons macaw, because she is tempermental animal, and I Don't feel safe with people touching her. She has bitten me in the past, and a couple of times severely. She just flies from perch to perch on stage on comman, and waves at people with her wing.
I do not at all minimize the power of Osceolas jaws, and have her trained to open her mouth on command, (while im holding her) - Which shae has always done, wonderfully - Then I explain, what the jaws can do, and what there meant for, how the teeth grow in and replace old ones and the like -
She also closes her mouth on command, afterwards.
I know people who would also disagee with productions that show big cats interacting with thier keepers, un muzzled. I feel that its much the same thing as me interacting with my crocodilians, or birds. IMHO -
And, yes, Im always drawing and painting :-) Im still working on my Buisness page with a gallery and whatnot - Ill post a link to it when its all put together.Im glad you like your print - Heres another ive done recently - its of my male raven, Hugin, done in pen and ink -
