Choosing an ALLIGATOR

im new to alligator and would like to own one in the near future. i'll like to find out more about alligaotr first befor i purchase one.
therefore, i hope to know what kind of alligator is suitable for a indoor caging and is suitable for a beginner. Is there any?
And i also like to know if there is any alligator that does NOT grow at a very fast pace and i hope for an alligator that does not take up alot of space.
Any species is suitable for a beginner and easy to care for ?
