Brumating common garters...please help...

Ok, so I put a couple of wild garters into brumation a couple days ago and they seem to be doing fine.

What else do I need to do? I know they shouldn't be fed, but what about water?
Also, how often should I look in on them? I don't want to disturb them too much.
