:My baby garter seem to be in blue ... his eye caps are milky blue, from what i read this is the start of the shedding process. Now i have a few question, he stop all activity, he bask a bit then goes to hiding, then bask again....no eating... is this normal ? What should i expect next ? How long is this process ?

That is normal for a snake getting ready to shed. His eyes will be cloudy for a couple of days then clear up. He will shed in about 2 days after they clear up. They can't see very well with their eyes cloudy so they tend to be more inactive during this time.
