First shedding, need some hint ;)

My baby garter seem to be in blue ... his eye caps are milky blue, from what i read this is the start of the shedding process. Now i have a few question, he stop all activity, he bask a bit then goes to hiding, then bask again....no eating... is this normal ? What should i expect next ? How long is this process ?
