Hi! every summer, I raise tadpoles out at my cottage in Manitoba. I get a big kiddie pool, and fill it with lake water. I float leaves on top and put drift wood on top for islands. WE usually raise Lots of gray tree frogs, leopard frogs, wood frogs, spring peepers, and boreal chorus frogs. WE usually just leave the pool alone in the shade, and they grow up and hop around our property. ( Its in the woods, on a lake) Its a great way to get amphibs in your yard. they dont even need care when they are in the pool. WE just make sure the water doesnt get any hotter then the shallows of the lake and fill up the pool when it evaporats. Sometimes the leopard frogs, will stay in the pool or come back at night instead of going down to the lake. Comments?
