don't use spaghum. that is too fine. bed-a-beast is better. you can put some 'river rock' on top of the bed-a-beast along the shoreline to minimize the dirt in the water. and grow some pothos/ivy along the shore too.
do not use the dried spanish moss stuff either. that is worse than spaghum.
