In the evening I have a string of 50 xmas lights on top of the screen lid. Just enough for us to be able to see in there but not too bright to disturb them. Stretch is out hopping about pretty good today. Dives into the water real fast like when I approach though. So here I am on my hands and knees crawling up to the tank so I can watach without being seen HA HA.
I will try feeding him again tonight. If he doesn't go for it I'll wait a couple days before trying again.

:you could put a plant leaf into the water, so the crix can climb out onto it rather then drowning. i had to do this in my firebelly toad tank, as they sometimes have trouble catching crix fast enough. hm, I would wait a day or so, then try again, seems like he is more active after dark? you could put a dim light on across the room, and put in a few crix, then watch from a distance, while watching tv or reading to alleviate boredom til he comes out :) I did this in order to watch my bullfrog eat, he refuses flatly to eat in my presence in daylight, but in the dim light he doesn't know we are there :)
