Hmm, good question. Once you find the frog in the substrate, I would get a plate, like a saucer, put it into the tank, and set the frog onto it. Then I would pour a few crix onto the plate, and the frog should have an easier time getting them. alot of my smaller frogs have difficulty feeding on the bedding, getting alot of it in their mouths, which is not good. Finding the frog in the substrate is quite difficult, I once thought a baby bullfrog of mine had escaped but he was merely buried. They will eventually eat, I know it can be frustrating but it'll happen :)
