Okay, after having one of my FBT for 4 years, and adding another 3, more then a year ago, I'm pretty certain that all 3 of the new ones are males, and the one I've had for 4 years, I thought was female, but after observing how "she" pulls away from the males, and has not layed any eggs, despite the fact i put their tank outside in the winter, brought it back in, and simulated rain, they still will not breed. So I'm going to say its a male. I know males have the pads on their feet and croak but, if I were to go to the petstore, and buy another 1 or 2 ( i have room for about 2-3 more in my 29 gallon) how can I make Sure im getting females?
