Well, you can either get rid of the bed-a-beast, or get rid of the filtration system. I change the water *daily* because even the best filtration systems do not rid poo and urine as effectively as changing water.
Bed-A-Beast is probably the safest substrate for frogs, aside from paper towels.
I am not a proponent of moss because the crickets hide and die in there and before you know it (does not take long) small flies and maggots are there. yuck.

:i have bed a beast in my firebellys tank. i have a 40 land 60 water set up. every time they romp around on the land they drag it into the water. its making it look nasty and keeps cloging up my shark water pump/filter.
:is there any way to stop this? it really annoying.
