I usually feed roaches, so I just put them in a bowl with straigh edges so they can't climb up. When I used to feed crickets I used a cat food bowl. It wasn't very deep, about 2 inches. The crickets rarely got out before my frilly ate them.
As a substrate I really like cypress mulch. It's about 2-3 bucks at home depot. I like the look and it keep the humidity very nice.
:I was thinking bout using a feeding dish... anyone know of any good dishes or contraptions that I can use so that the food doesnt crawl out?
: I know for crickets I should just pinch the legs...
:any other suggestions?

::I used sand origanly. I have heard of many people useing it just find. But I could not keep the humidity up with it and had to switch to the bark. You could get something like a cat litter pan and use it as a feeding dish. That works great for me.
